“ Very knowledgeable and personable. His speaking time was cut short...need to manage the meeting time better so the speakers get their allotted time for their presentation. ”
“ I believe JavaFX has potential to change graphic programming as much as Perl influenced and simplified system administration. Being a database guy through out life, presentation by you and projectMaiTai open source developer was an eye opener. Great product, needs full support from graphic chip manufacturers and mobile devices like iPhone and Android. ”
“ exceptional. I truly enjoyed hearing about JavaFx from the expert.
Also look forward to using sunspot which I won at the meetup.
Regards,
Anu Bhagat ”
“ A couple people asked about JavaFX versus Flex and other UI development methods. A key developer challenge is to be ready to compare/contrast and be productive with the myriad range of methods (Swing, JavaFX, Flex, Lasszlo, Javascript, dynamic HTML, etc. etc.). I'd like this group to help me learn about talks on other technologies as well. ”
“ Richard is a great presenter and has a thorough knowledge of JavaFX. He's done a great job providing an overview of JavaFX and responding questions from the audience ”
“ I was actually expecting something a bit more advanced - I know that it was sort of the "first" meeting etc. but I suspect that most people who have joined the users group already know the real basics (I might be wrong of course).
I hope that a future meetup can start to explore some more "best practices" etc. since this is a new platform.
The audio for the webcast was rough at the beginning but was very good for the remainder. The video of the presentation was not ideal - we really couldn't read what was being presented but I know this is a difficult thing to handle. ”
